I am not so naive, but one did hope that “if he can’t see it, it isn’t happening” would be limited to Trump’s tiny geographic orbit in DC and what he saw through the warping windows of The Beast. But no, whether its climate, people, labor numbers, or hunger, there will be no official seeing-of-it.
